Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Test Scout's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Service Description

Test Scout provides an information and notification service for driving tests in Queensland. We are not affiliated with Queensland Transport and Main Roads or any government agency.

• We only act for you when you ask us to
• We never book a new test. If you turn on Reschedule for me, you give us explicit permission to do one thing: move your existing Queensland practical driving test to an earlier time, at a centre you chose, within the rules you set. We never cancel your test, change any other detail, or use your Transport and Main Roads account, and you can withdraw permission at any time.
• Where the app fills in Transport and Main Roads' booking form, it does so on your own device, using details held only on that device, inside your own browser session with Transport and Main Roads. Choosing a time and completing the booking is always done by you.
• We do not guarantee test availability
• We provide information and notifications of available driving tests, and, if you choose to use it, on-device assistance in filling in Transport and Main Roads' own booking form

User Responsibilities

Users of Test Scout agree to:

• Provide a valid email address that belongs to them and is not shared with others
• Maintain the security of their account by not sharing their password with others
• Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws
• Comply with all rules, limits, and conditions set by Queensland Transport and Main Roads when booking, rebooking, or rescheduling a test, including any limits TMR may apply to how often a booking can be changed online
• Ensure that all reasonable and appropriate measures are taken before using test availability notifications to book or modify a test, for example, checking that your instructor or test vehicle will be available on the test date.

Boost and Purchases

Test Scout offers an optional Boost, a 24-hour search boost that checks for cancellation slots more frequently than the standard search frequency. A Boost is sold as a one-time consumable purchase.

• All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.
• A Boost grants more frequent searches for 24 hours. It does not guarantee finding an earlier test or any specific outcome.
• If the minimum boosted alert count is not reached during the 24-hour window, the Boost will automatically renew for another 24 hours at no additional cost.

Third-Party Data Dependency

Test Scout relies on publicly available data from Queensland Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to provide driving test availability information. TMR does not endorse or support this service, and we have no formal relationship with TMR. We do not control this data source. If TMR changes their website, restricts access to data, or the data otherwise becomes unavailable, the service may be limited, degraded, or discontinued without notice.

Book Assist

Book Assist is an optional convenience feature. When you tap an availability alert with Book Assist enabled, Test Scout opens Queensland Transport and Main Roads' own booking website inside the app and fills in the booking form using details you have saved on your device.

• The assistance runs on your own device and stops at the list of available test times. It does not select a time, does not confirm or complete a booking, and does not make any payment. Everything past that point is done by you.
• The pages shown in the in-app browser are operated by Transport and Main Roads or by their own service providers, not by Test Scout. Your session, your booking, and any payment are transactions between you and those parties. Test Scout is not a party to them and does not act as your agent: no Test Scout server takes any part in your booking, and nothing is sent to or received from Transport and Main Roads by us on your account.
• Anything you enter on those pages goes to that third party, not to us. This includes payment card or bank details, identity documents and any other information requested during booking. Test Scout does not collect, receive, process or store it, and cannot retrieve, correct or refund it.
• The details you save for Book Assist (such as your licence card number, booking reference, name and contact phone number) are stored encrypted on your device only and are never sent to Test Scout.
• You remain responsible for checking that the information filled in for you is correct and current before you confirm anything, and for complying with the terms and conditions of any third-party website you reach through the app.
• You may take over at any time using the "Take over" control, and the automation stops immediately. If Test Scout cannot complete a step, it stops and hands the page to you rather than submitting incomplete information.

Test Scout does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party website reached through the app, including its content, availability, accuracy, pricing, terms of use or privacy practices. Your use of any such website is at your own risk and is governed by that website's own terms.

Limitation of Liability

Test Scout is not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from:

• Inability to secure an earlier test through this service, as we only notify users when a test slot is available and perform no booking or reservation functions
• Loss of notifications due to technical issues, including but not limited to, push notification provider outages, email delivery issues, or outages and changes to availability published by Queensland Transport and Main Roads
• Changes to, or unavailability of, driving test data from Queensland Transport and Main Roads, including permanent changes that may affect the service's ability to operate
• Restrictions, suspensions, or limits that Queensland Transport and Main Roads may apply to your TMR account or your ability to book, rebook, or reschedule tests online, including any limits on how frequently a booking can be changed. TMR controls its own booking rules, and Test Scout has no ability to prevent, remove, or override any such restriction.
• Any booking, rebooking, cancellation, payment or refund transacted with Queensland Transport and Main Roads or any third-party payment provider, whether reached through the in-app browser or otherwise. Such transactions are solely between you and that party.
• Any action you take within the in-app browser beyond the point at which Test Scout's assistance ends, including selecting a test time, confirming a booking, and entering payment, identity or other personal information on a third-party page
• The content, availability, accuracy, security, terms of use or privacy practices of any third-party website or service reached through the app, or any loss arising from your reliance on it
• Any use of the app outside its intended purpose of receiving driving test availability notifications and, where you choose to use it, being assisted to reach Transport and Main Roads' list of available test times

User Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Test Scout and its operators from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the service in violation of applicable laws, or your use of test availability information provided by the service.
