Test Scout ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
- Email address — collected when you create an account, used for authentication and user support
- A device push-notification token — required to deliver test-availability alerts to your device
- Your search preferences — selected test centres and regions, alert filters, and notification quiet hours
- If you make an in-app purchase: app-store transaction identifiers only. Payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google
- App diagnostics and crash reports, used to keep the service reliable
We do not collect names, driver licence numbers, dates of birth, test booking details, or any other personal or sensitive information.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide driving test availability notifications
- To manage your account and authenticate you
- To respond to support requests
- To diagnose faults and improve our services
- To communicate important updates
Your personal information is not sold, shared for marketing, or used for any other purpose.
Where Your Data Is Stored
All Test Scout operated infrastructure, our application servers and our database is hosted in Australia. All customer data at rest held by Test Scout remains in Australia. Data is encrypted in transit, and we implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or trade your data. Data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content may be shared with Apple and Google depending on your device.
Like most mobile applications, we use a small number of established service providers for specific functions, account authentication, push-notification delivery, in-app purchase management, and crash and error reporting. These services may process limited data outside Australia. None of these services receives more than the minimum required for its function, and each operates under its own privacy and data-processing terms.
Data Sharing with Apple and Google
By using our app and/or making in-app purchases, you consent to our sharing of data regarding your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple and Google depending on your device. This information may include details about how you have accessed and interacted with the purchased content. We ensure that such data sharing is done in compliance with Apple's and Google's policies.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as you have an active account. You may request for your account to be deleted; your personal data will be deleted from our systems and will not be recoverable. Diagnostic and crash-report data is transient and is automatically deleted on a rolling cycle of at most 90 days.
Account Deletion and Data Removal
You can delete your account at any time in the account tab of the app,
or email us at

to request deletion. All of your data will be permanently deleted from
our systems. This includes your searches, alerts, and account
information.
This is an irreversible action.
