Test Scout Boost

A 24-hour boost for your test searches, so you're more likely to catch a cancellation the moment it appears.

Boost is completely optional

Test Scout's full feature set of up to 3 searches, alert filters, alert history, and notifications is free for everyone. Boost only changes one thing: how often we check your searches for cancellations. You don't need to buy a Boost to use Test Scout.

What a Boost does

⚑

More frequent searches for 24 hours

During an active Boost, your searches are checked more frequently than regular searches. This means you may be more likely to be the first to see a new slot. After the boost ends, your searches drop back to the standard search frequency. All your searches, filters, and alerts keep working as normal.

🎟️

One-time, non-stacking

A Boost is a single purchase. You can't stack two Boosts back-to-back to extend the window. Once your active Boost ends, you can buy another one. Remember, you don't need to buy a Boost to use Test Scout.

πŸ”„

Free auto-renewal

If your Boost doesn't receive a minimum number of boosted alerts during the 24-hour window, it will automatically renew for another 24 hours at no extra cost. This can happen multiple times until the minimum is met.

How search cycles work

Test Scout alternates between regular and boosted search cycles. What happens when an earlier test is found depends on which cycle discovers it.

Scenario A

Earlier test found during a regular search

1
Regular search discovers an earlier test
2
All users notified at the same time Boosted and regular users alike
βš–οΈ

Boosted users have no advantage for alerts discovered during regular search cycles. Every user searching that centre is notified simultaneously with equal opportunity to act.

Scenario B

Earlier test found during a boosted search

1
Boost search discovers an earlier test Runs between regular cycles
2
Boosted users notified first Head start before the next regular cycle
3
Next regular search run If the earlier test discovered during the boosted search is still available, all users will now get an earlier test alert notification.

What counts towards auto-renewal

Your Boost auto-renews for free until a minimum number of boosted alerts is reached. Only alerts that genuinely match your search count towards that minimum.

A boosted alert counts when…
βœ“
It matches your region
+
βœ“
It matches your centre
+
βœ“
It matches your filters (preferred time, minimum saving)
+
βœ“
It's outside your quiet hours

Tips to get the most from your Boost

⏸️

Pause your count

Remove your searches to pause your boosted alert count. No active searches means no alerts can be counted. Add them back when you're ready.

πŸŒ™

Use quiet hours

Alerts found during your quiet hours won't count towards the minimum. Sleep easy knowing your count is paused overnight.

🎯

Set stricter filters

Looking for a bigger saving or a specific time of day? Stricter filters mean fewer alerts match, which can mean more free renewals.

πŸ”„

Multiple renewals

Searching a quieter test centre or region? Fewer cancellations means fewer alerts, so your Boost may renew multiple times for free.

Ready to Boost?

Activate a Boost directly in the Test Scout app. One-time purchase, no subscription. Completely optional.

A Boost only changes how often we check your searches. It does not change, increase, or override TMR's booking rules. TMR may limit how many times you can rebook or reschedule online and may restrict your account if you change a booking frequently, this is outside our control. See how TMR rebooking limits work before you buy.
